Thursday morning had barely begun when the door opened and in floated 10 angels from the Camellia Quilters group, their arms carrying pillows and cases for the Kids in Transition [project we wrote about in our newsletter.
Here you can see the ladies and some of the 23 pillowcases and 6 new pillows. That single donation almost doubled what we had and bumped our tally up to 49! It was overwhelming to see the volume in one mass!So, we are above the half-way mark and 14 days away from National Quilting Day.
This is the day we have marked off as the deadline to receive pillows and cases and hand them over to the K Bar B Ranch.
Quilters are going to be at the shop with their machines on that Saturday, March 17, to make more cases between the hours of 10-2 that day, so if you have a hankering to join in, bring your machine and fabric and whirr with us.
